Tiger:Information report

Tigers

Have you ever wondered about a tiger´s life-style? Tigers can grow to a length of 3.3 metres(11 feet). Did you know tigers weigh as much as 300 kilograms? They are also the longest felines in the world.

Tigers occupy a variety of habitats from different tropical forests such as: evergreen forests, woodlands, mangrove swamps to grasslands, savanna and rocky country. Tigers love living in temperate places such: Bangladesh, Vietnam, Bhutan, India, Thailand, Laos and other parts of Asia. Tigers are like domestic  house cats so they are normally sleeping or resting during the day. They spend about 16-20 hours lying in the shade. These animals really care for their young; they wouldn't like it if something happened to them.  A tiger usually has about 3-4 cubs.

A tiger´s body is very unique. Its hind legs are longer than its front legs. They enable tigers to leap distances of up 10 metres. Did you know all the articulated bones make the tigers strong because they stay healthy at all times? Their bones are very strong and with lots of strong bones they show that their body is in good shape.

Tigers ingest a variety of prey of ranging sizes and they are predators of large animals. Some are small and some are large. Animals think that tigers are very dangerous. Some kinds of prey are: Moose, deer species, pigs, buffalos, cows and goats.

Tigers are dangerous creatures but their lives are pretty normal. There are no predators of tigers yet they have enemies, like: big buffalos, elephants and bears. They are also the largest members of the cat family.

Hot Desert

Hot Desert

What would happen if it kept on raining in the hot desert?

File:Star Rain in the Desert.jpg - Wikimedia Commons

Cacti would absorb too much water. Some animals might die because they might find it hard to get used to the different weather. The sand might wash away or get soggy. There might be floods. Plants would start to grow but if there is no sun the plants might die. Jackrabbits won’t need to eat their droppings.
